Using a Color of Another Spot Color Library for the Output Color
This section explains how to specify a spot color within another spot color library for the output color.

In the job list, double-click the job.
The Job Settings window appears.
- Click .
- Select the Convert Spot Color check box under Spot Color Settings.

Click Details.
The Spot Color List window appears.

Select the name of the spot color for which you want to change the output color.
- To change the output color of a spot color in an existing spot color library
- Select a spot color in an existing spot color library (a spot color in Library Name).
- Select the Use Spot Color Library check box.
- Click Select. The Select Spot Color window appears.
- Select Spot Color Library Name.
- Select the spot color name to be assigned.
- Click OK. You are returned to the Spot Color List window.
- To specify the output color of a spot color name that is not contained in the spot color library
- Select a spot color that is not in an existing spot color library (a spot color that is not in Library Name).
- Select the Edit Spot Color check box.
- To select from the spot colors in the library
- Click Use Color Library. The Select Spot Color window appears.
- Select Spot Color Library Name.
- Select the spot color name to be assigned.
- Click OK. You are returned to the Spot Color List window.
- To specify the color with Lab
- Click Specify Lab. The Specify Lab window appears.
- Specify the Lab value.
- When you know the Lab value
- Enter the value directly.
- When using a measurement instrument to enter the Lab value
- You can also use a measurement instrument to enter the Lab value. Before performing the operations shown below, refer to the instruction manual of your measurement instrument to prepare it for measurement. You also need to configure the measurement instrument's settings in the Preferences window.
- Click Calibrate. The measurement instrument is calibrated.
- Click Measure.
- When the Start Measurement window appears, use the measurement instrument to perform the measurement. The Lab value is displayed when the measurement is finished.
- You can also use a measurement instrument to enter the Lab value. Before performing the operations shown below, refer to the instruction manual of your measurement instrument to prepare it for measurement. You also need to configure the measurement instrument's settings in the Preferences window.
- When you know the Lab value
- Click OK. You are returned to the Spot Color List window.
- To select from the spot colors in the library
- To change the output color of a spot color in an existing spot color library

Click OK.
The settings are saved.
