Outputting from Other Computers

This section explains how to output from computers on which VersaWorks is not installed.

When two or more computers are connected to the network, the computer on which VersaWorks is installed is called the "RIP server," and other computers are called "clients." In this case, you can create an image file on a client, and then transmit this file to the RIP server for printing. Although an image file transmitted from a client is sent to the printer via the RIP server, the RIP server works as a printer when viewed from a client. When you create an image file on the RIP server, the computer works as RIP server and client. This section explains how to perform printing operations via the RIP server from clients when clients are on different computers from the RIP server.
