3. Setting Updates to Display Notifications Automatically

Configure the settings so that update information is obtained automatically and update notifications are displayed. You can also set the frequency with which update information is obtained.

1. Click Edit - Preferences.
   The Preferences window appears.
2. Click the Roland@NET tab.
3. Select the Check for Updates Automatically and Notify check box.
   This enables automatic updates.
4. Select the update frequency from Frequency under [Preferences].

   If you set a high frequency, you will be able to obtain update information in a timely manner, but this will also have the disadvantage of increasing the frequency with which VersaWorks takes a long time to start.

   Tip:

   The details set from the Manual Updater window are applied to the Proxy Server and Update Options settings. They can also be reset from this window.

5. Click OK.
