Step 1: Set the Printing and Cutting Areas

Procedure

1. Perform preparations for cutting.

   Click the link below and complete the procedures from Step 1: Load the Material to Step 6: Set the Origin.

2. Start Illustrator, open a new document, and set the artboard settings.

   Set a document size that is the same size as the cutting width displayed on the machine.

   

3. From the Window menu, click Extensions, and then click CutStudioPlugIn.

   
   

   The Roland CutStudio palette appears.
   

   
   

4. On the palette, click .

   Crop marks are inserted in the artboard.

   
   

5. Click , and click Crop-marks.

   
   

6. In the Type menu, select GS-24, and in the Point menu, select 4.

   In most cases Point should be set to 4.

   

7. Set the margins and click OK.
