Template variants

The goal of template variants is to reduce the amount of templates by saving only job parameters specific to object types and/or materials.

Variants are created from normal templates.

Variants can be created only with the template editor license.

Variants behave like normal machining templates. No difference is apparent to the end user.

Within variants, it is possible to make certain parameters accessible to the end user for TE-lite in the same way as for normal templates.

How to create a variant:

•Click on an template and select New .

•All jobs of the base template are displayed. Now you can configure the variant as you wish.

•The status of the jobs is displayed at the beginning and changes or restrictions can be defined for the TE-Lite.

E - Overwrite enabled (for end user)

O - Value is overwritten in this profile

R - Extended restriction
