Basic Printing Operations
This section explains the basic printing operations.
Check the following before operating the printer.
- The printer is properly connected to the computer and they are
turned on.
- The printer is ready to print.

Step 1: Configure the default settings of each
queue folder
Follow the procedure below to configure the default settings of each queue
folder in the [Queue A (B) Properties] window. These settings are
applied to all jobs that are added in each queue folder.
This procedure describes the basic settings that are required before using
the queue folder, such as media width, media type and print quality settings.
Once these options are set, VersaWorks Dual automatically selects appropriate
values for other settings.

The [Queue A (B) Properties] window appears.
Menu: [Edit] - [Queue A (B) Settings]
- Click .
- Click [Get Media Width].
The width of printable area is polled from the printer and set
here.
- Click .
- Select the media type from the [Media Name] list box,
and then select the print quality in [Print Quality].
- Click [OK].
Step 2: Add files to the job list
Follow the procedure below to add files to be print to the job list (queue
A (or B) folder).
- Click [File] - [Add Job to Queue A] (or [Add Job
to Queue B]).
The [Load from File] window appears.
- Select the file to be added to the job list, and then click
[Open].
The selected file is added to the job list.
To add another file, repeat the procedure.
Tip
- You can also add files to the job list by dragging the file
icon to the job list.
Step 3: Configure the print settings of the selected
job (if necessary)
Follow the procedure below if you want to apply the print settings other
than default settings configured in the [Queue A (B) Properties]
window.
- Double-click the job of which you want to change the print
settings.
The [Job Settings] window appears.
Tip
- Make the necessary changes to the settings.
Clicking the buttons on the left side of the window, displays the
associated settings on the right side.
Description of each button
- Click [OK].
Step 4: Print the job
Follow the procedure below to select and print the job.
- From the job list, select the job to be printed.
Tip
- To select multiple jobs, perform one of the following:
- While holding down the Shift key, click the first job,
and then click the last job.
- While holding down the Ctrl key, click the jobs one
by one.
- Drag over multiple jobs.
- Click .
Rip'ing and printing are performed.
Once the selected job has been printed,
appears in the job list.

Tip To
perform only the RIP process
- If you want to perform only the RIP process before printing, select
the job to be RIP'ed, and then click .
Once the selected job has been RIP'ed, appears
in the job list.
If you try to perform a RIP process on a job that has already been
RIP'ed, a confirmation window appears to ask if you want to re-RIP
the job.
