Performing Cutting Only/Printing and Cutting Continuously

The cut only process and cutting immediately after printing with automatic media rewinding process share similar operation procedures. This section describes both methods combined.

  1. Double-click or .
    The [Queue A (B) Properties] window appears.
  2. Click .
  3. From the [Operation Mode] list box, select one of the following settings.
    To perform cutting only
    Select [Cut Only].
    To perform printing and cutting continuously
    Select [Print & Cut].
  4. Configure the following settings if necessary.
    To cut along all paths drawn in vector format
    Select [Cut All Paths]. All paths drawn in vector format are recognized as cut lines regardless of the use of the spot color (CutContour).
    To cut along the outline of the image regardless of cut lines
    Select [Cut Image Boundaries].
    To rewind the media to the original position (position before cutting) after cutting
    Select [Return to Origin After Cut].
    To configure the cutting conditions of your printer
    Select [Enable Advanced Settings] to configure the cutting conditions.

  5. Configure other settings such as media setting if necessary, and then click [OK].
    Note
    1. In [Queue Properties] window, click.
    2. Enter the value of 0.35 mm or more in [Margin] in [EPS].
      • Entering the value less than 0.35 mm does not add margins.
      • If you scale the image in the [Queue Properties] or [Job Settings] window, the size of margin is also scaled.
        If you add the job to the job list, the margins are automatically added along the boundaries of the image according to the [Margin] setting.
  6. Add the job containing cut lines to the job list, and then start printing.
    Basic Printing Operations
    If you selected [Cut Only]
    Cutting starts along the cut lines of the selected job.
    If you selected [Print & Cut]
    Printing starts first. After finishing printing, cutting starts automatically.
