General Guide Regarding Cutting Conditions

The estimate of the cutting conditions and service life of the blade for combinations of materials and blades are given below.
Note that optimal cutting is not necessary obtained simply by conforming to the conditions below.
Perform a cutting test in advance to adjust the conditions.
(For the procedure to perform the Cutting Test, see Performing a Cutting Test.)

If uncut areas remain even when the blade force is increased more than 50 to 60 gf higher than the values in the table, the blade is mostly likely to have reached the end of its service life.
Replace with a new blade.
If the desired cutting results are not obtained such as uncut areas remaining even after the blade is replaced, refer to Uncut areas remain or cut edges are not clean in What to Do If.
