TITLE Standard toolbar

New

This creates a new file.
   
Open

This opens a CutStudio file.
   
Save

This saves the file, overwriting the previous version of the file.
   
Import

This imports an Adobe Illustrator or image file, adding it to the file you are editing.
You can also import Dr. STIKA PLUS files.
   
Cut

This sends the data to the cutting machine and starts cutting.
Image data is not output.
   
Print

This sends the data to the printer and starts printing.
Image data and crop marks are output. Cutting data (shapes and text) is not output.
   
Undo

This erases the change that was just made.
   
Redo

This cancels the [Undo] command that has just been run.
   
Cut

This deletes the selected object (shapes, text, and images) and copies it to the clipboard.
   
Copy

This copies the selected object (shapes, text, and images) to the clipboard.
   
Paste

This copies the contents of the clipboard, pasting them at the selected on-screen location.
   
Fit

This enlarges or shrinks the selected object (shape, text, or image) to fill the window.
When no object is selected, all objects are resized to fit the window.
   
Move

This moves the selected objects (shapes, text, or images) to the origin point, keeping their relative positioning unchanged.
When no object is selected, all objects are moved.
   
Symbol

This switches between showing and hiding the [Symbol] panel.
   
Properties

You use this to make the settings for the size, position, format, and other such properties of an object (shape, text, or image).
The panels that appear differ according to the type of the selected object.

TITLE Object toolbar

Select shape

You use this to select an object (shape, text, or image) and modify its form.
When you select an object, shape handles appear around it.
To select multiple objects, hold down the [Shift] key as you click the objects. Alternatively, drag the mouse pointer to enclose the objects.
To release all selected objects, click any location other than a selected object.
To release only a specific selected object, hold down the [Shift] key and click the object.
   
Edit anchor point

You use this to change the positions of polyline anchor points and to manipulate curve-polyline handles
.
   
Zoom in/zoom out

This enlarges or reduces the view of an object (shape, text, or image).
Clicking the left mouse button enlarges the view of the object (zoom in) with the point you clicked at the center of the enlarged view. You can specify an area to enlarge by dragging the mouse pointer.
Clicking the right button reduces the view (zoom out).
   
Insert text

This inserts text into the cutting data.
Click the location where you want to start the insertion, and then type the text. The text you enter is outlined and displayed as contour lines only.
You can enter text aligned with a shape by clicking a line making up the shape. Note, however, that entry along integrated polylines is not possible.
You can use TrueType fonts and TrueType-based OpenType fonts registered with Windows.
You can add text to and delete text from previously entered text.
   
Draw rectangle

This adds a rectangle to the cutting data.
To make a square, hold down the [Shift] key as you drag the mouse pointer.
To round the corners of the rectangle, click [Round corners] on the [Size and Shape] panel.
   
Draw circle/ellipse

This adds a circle or ellipse to the cutting data.
To make a circle, hold down the [Shift] key as you drag the mouse pointer.
   
Draw polygon

This adds a polygon (multi-sided shape) to the cutting data.
To make a regular polygon, hold down the [Shift] key as you drag the mouse pointer.
To change the number of angles of the polygon, drag the [Object] slider on the [Size and Shape] panel.
   
Draw star

This adds a star to the cutting data.
To make a star whose vertical/horizontal aspect ratio is 1:1, hold down the [SHIFT] key as you drag the mouse pointer.
To change the number of inward folds of the star, drag the [Object] slider on the [Size and Shape] panel.
   
Draw noncurve polyline

This adds a noncurve polyline to the cutting data.
A polyline whose anchor points are all joined by straight line segments is called a "noncurve polyline."
After clicking the start point, you make successive anchor points by clicking, and then double-click at the end point.
Right-clicking while you're drawing displays a shortcut menu.
To force drawing to end, press the [Esc] key while you're drawing.
   
Draw curve polyline

This adds a curve polyline to the cutting data.
A polyline whose anchor points are all joined by curved lines is called a "curve polyline."
After clicking the start point, you make successive anchor points by clicking, and then double-click at the end point.
Right-clicking while you're drawing displays a shortcut menu.
To force drawing to end, press the [Esc] key while you're drawing.
Change line color

This changes the color of the cutting line.
By assigning colors to cutting lines and specifying a color upon output, it is possible to cut only specific cutting lines.
Perforated cutting line settings

This sets the cutting line as a perforated cutting line.
Once set, the cutting line becomes red. It is also possible to configure other settings, including the half-cut length.
Use of this function varies according to model.
