Name

Name of fixture.

Machines

Allocation to all or specific machines only.

Blank geometry

Allocation to all or specific blank geometries only.

Default for

Use the selected fixture as a default for all or only specific combinations from the allocations for machines and blank geometries.

Additional properties

Part tilt

Setting of the preferred tilt axis for automatic part tilting when the part is loaded. The maximum tilt angle is defined in [Settings > Machining > Machines > Axis limitations].

To use the auto tilt part function, you must first enable this setting in [Settings > General > Load wizard].

Inclination axes

Only X-axis

Inclination in the X-axis only; suitable for 4-axis machines.

Prefer X-axis

Inclination in both axes; the X-axis is preferred.

Only Y-axis

Inclination in Y-axis only; suitable for 4-axis machines.

Prefer Y-axis

Inclination in both axes; the Y-axis is preferred.

Any

Inclination in both axes without preference.

Calculate in NC coordinates

Yes

Perform calculation for identical NC coordinate system. Required for processing NC data with hyperDENT Calculation Merge.

No

Use the existing coordinate system. It is not possible to merge different NC data with hyperDENT Calculation Merge.

Tool change optimization

Holder-specific adjustment option

General settings

Yes

No

Enable open fixture functionality

With open holders, the milling boundary is extended at the opening. This enables lateral processing such as finishing interdental areas with a tilt of up to 90 degrees relative to the main axis.

No

Default. Behavior as with closed holders

Yes

The milling boundary is extended.

Rotation axis

Preferred rotation axis for display on the screen.

Connector behavior

Create traverses

Yes

If overlapping milling area boundaries exist and the connectors are created using the “take ALL parts into account” button, a traverse is created between parts.

Object nesting

Settings for the automatic placement of parts in the blank (auto nesting). Further information --> “Load part” > “Place part automatically – Autonesting.”

Use automatic nesting.

Yes

Load the part and place it automatically.

No

Load the part. The part must be placed manually.

Choose nesting direction

Arrangement of the parts according to the order of placement.

Allow overlapping milling boundaries

Specification of the milling boundary.

Yes

Overlap milling boundaries, save material.

No

No overlapping milling boundaries.

Connectors adding to part

Yes

Include connectors into nesting calculation.

No

Connectors are not included into nesting calculation

Screwchannel adding to part

Yes

Include the screw channel into nesting calculation.

No

The screw channel is not included into nesting calculation.

Fixture displacement

Fixture displaysment 1

The selection window shows the tap [Edit positioning]. This opens the window for correcting deviations of the position

from the setpoint.

Here it is possible to enter the values of the individual positions of the blanks or of the complete Fixture.

Fixture displaysment 2

If a test body was milled to determine the exact position of the entire Fixture, then the position at which the test body

was milled must be selected in the [Set] tab.

Fixture displaysment 3

After the slot position has been selected, the next window opens. Here the determined values for the correction of the

complete fixture are entered.

Fixture displaysment 4

By confirming with [Ok], these displacement values are displayed behind `Fixture displacement X/Y/Z`.

With [Reset] the values are automatically reset to zero.

Fixture displaysment 5

After the menu has been closed with [Ok], a .fmdfadjusr is automatically created in the the Fixture directory.

The values entered are stored here.
