The identification of angled screw channels is usually the standard procedure.
If the part is of insufficient quality, it is possible that the screw channel cannot be identified using the standard method.  

hyperDENT offers special functionalities for handling such cases

 

Vorgehen:

1)   Select the screw channel on the cavity side.

2)   Select the screw channel on the occlusal side.
To do so, place three points in the angled area of the screw channel.

3)   If there are now two screw channels, the execution of the previous steps was successful.

4)   Merge the two screw channels using the “Merge screw channels” function in the context menu (open by right-clicking). Both screw channels must be selected.
You can use the “Separate screw channels” function to separate connected screw channels.
