Help window

The Online Help window consists of the following functions.


1. Tool bar

Show/Hide
Shows and hides the topic search area.
Back/Forward
Navigates back and forth through previously viewed help pages.
Font
Adjusts the font size of the browser area.
Print
Prints the help page displayed in the browser area.

2. Topic search area

This area is composed of the [Table of Contents], [Search] and [Favorites] tabs. Use these search methods to find specific topics.

3. Browser area

Displays the help page selected in the topic search area.

Full-text search

This search method enables you to find all help pages containing your keyword.

  1. In the topic search area, click the [Search] tab.
  2. Enter a keyword, and then click [Search].
    All help pages containing your keyword appear in the list.
  3. To display the help page, perform one of the following:
    • Select the desired topic, and then click [View].
    • Double-click the desired topic.

[Favorites] function

The [Favorites] function enables you to bookmark help pages you use frequently. You can quickly jump to a desired help page by selecting it in the favorite list.

To add a help page to the favorite list

You can bookmark a help page you use frequently.

  1. Use the table of contents or full-text search to display the help page you want to add to the favorite list.
  2. In the topic search area, click the [Favorites] tab.
  3. Click [Add].
    The selected help page is added to the favorite list.

Tip

To display a help page from the favorite list

Click the [Favorites] tab, and then perform one of the following:

To delete a help page from the favorite list

Click the [Favorites] tab, select the topic you want to delete, and then click [Delete].

Notation

This Online Help uses the following notation in the procedures.
Notation Description Example
[Menu] - [Menu command] Means "click the menu, and then click the menu command." Click [View] - [Job Log].
List box A box that displays an item list when the downward arrow button is clicked Select a language from the [Language] list box.
Right-click Means "click the right mouse button." Right-click a job.
Menu:[Menu] - [Menu command] Means a command can be also performed with a menu operation. Menu:[Printer] - [Printer Status]
