| Cutting the Printed Material |
Using Crop MarksTo print crop marks that the machine can read, the following items are required.
- Software used to create the data
Use a drawing application (example: Adobe Illustrator).
Programs that mainly handle bitmap images (example: Paint on Windows) cannot be used to output crop marks.
The program must have a function for specifying the reference point for printing and moving the point freely.
- Printer for printing on the material
Use a laser or inkjet printer with a resolution of 720 dpi or higher.
However, the machine may not be able to read the printed crop marks depending on the printer.
If the printed filled sections are blurred, clop marks will not be read correctly.
- Material
Use the following types of material.
Material with carrier paper that can be printed on a laser or inkjet printer
Material portion typeLaser printer Fine paper, coated paper, and PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) Inkjet printer Fine paper and coated paper
• Material-portion thickness:Approx. 0.2 mm
• Color: White
Laminated and glossy materials cannot be used.
- Accuracy of the alignment of the printing and cutting positions
The alignment accuracy of the machine when not affected by the accuracy of the software, accuracy of the printer, ambient temperature, and expansion or contraction of the material due to temperature is as follows:
1 mm or less for movement distance of 210 mm or less in material-feed direction and movement distance of 170 mm or less in width direction

The GX-24 detects only the following marks as crop marks.
• Diameter: 10 mm
• Color: Black (100% density)

Place the crop marks at three locations, as shown in the figure below.
For material sizes greater than A4, the length of material on which crop marks can be read is up to 500 mm.
• For A4 size
• Material greater than A4 size
