You can import data made with Adobe Illustrator or Dr. STIKA PLUS into CutStudio.
This lets you make effective use of existing cutting-data assets.
Imported data is laid out close to the origin point.
(The relative positioning of objects is maintained, but information about positioning from the origin point is ignored.)
Importing Adobe Illustrator files
- Files in AI or EPS (Encapsulated PostScript) format from Adobe Illustrator version 7 or 8 can be imported.
- Character strings cannot be imported.
(Text converted to paths by outlining can be imported.)
- Path width is ignored.
- Unfilled paths of zero width are not imported.
- The line-end shapes of paths are ignored.
- The association configuration of path angles is ignored.
- Broken lines are ignored and imported as single lines.
- Bitmap images are not imported.
Importing Dr. STIKA PLUS files
- Files from version 1.1 or later can be imported.
- Reproduction of the positioning and orientation of text may not be possible.
(If necessary, convert text to polygons using Dr. STIKA PLUS.)
- Line color is ignored.
- Dr. STIKA files cannot be imported.

Using software plug-ins lets you import shapes from versions and programs other than the ones listed above.
