[General]
tab
Unit
This selects the unit of length to display in CutStudio.
Image Darkness
This specifies the darkness (contrast) with which pasted images
are displayed.
When you use an image as a source, it may be a good idea to reduce
the darkness so that it doesn't obstruct the drawing of cutting
lines.
Reducing the darkness has no effect on printing. Printing is always
performed at 100% darkness.
Standard Toolbar Text
When this is selected, text is displayed below the icons on the
standard toolbar.
Displaying text may be helpful when you are still familiarizing
yourself with operation.
Font
This sets the default font used when entering text.
Specifying a favorite font that you often use may be convenient.
Text Height
Use this to enter the default value of the text height.
This lets you choose the part of characters that is used as the
reference for character height when entering text.
[Colors] tab
Here you make the settings for the colors used to display presented
items.
Clicking a button displays the colors available for selection.
To specify a color other than one of the selections shown, click
[Other]. This displays the [Color Setting] dialog box.
[Grid] tab
Interval
Enter the pitch (spacing) between adjacent grid lines.
View
The grid is displayed using lines or points.
Displaying the grid as points may make it hard to distinguish.
In such cases, go to the [Colors] tab, click [Grid], and then change
the color to one that is more visible.
[Curve] tab
Tolerance
This sets the maximum tolerance (deviation) between curve polylines
and polylines.
To make the configuration of polylines resemble the shape of a
curve polyline more closely, enter a smaller value. This enhances
shape reproduction for curve polylines, but it also increases
the amount of data.
To reduce the amount of data for polylines, enter a larger value.
This makes it possible to reduce the amount of data, but it also
reduces reproducibility for curve-polyline shapes.
Angle Tolerance
Enter the maximum angle between adjacent line segments.
To make the configuration of polylines resemble the shape of a
curve polyline more closely, enter a smaller value. This enhances
shape reproduction for curve polylines, but it also increases
the amount of data. Note that when the original configuration
is a gently sloping curve polyline, making the value smaller may
not produce the expected effect.
To reduce the amount of data for polylines, enter a larger value.
This makes it possible to reduce the amount of data, but it also
reduces reproducibility for curve-polyline shapes.
Reset Default
This resets the tolerance and angle tolerance to their default
values. (Tolerance: 0.5 mm, Angle Tolerance: 2 deg)
